Asbestos Awareness Training – IATP
The World Health Organisation estimate 107,000 people globally die each year from asbestos related diseases.
This is a shocking statistic. The number of deaths in the UK from Mesothelioma, per head of population in the UK is also one of the highest in the world. This figure has been increasing for a number of years and is expected to go on increasing over the next ten years.
So what is important is that we ‘arm ourselves’ with enough knowledge to help protect us from being exposed to asbestos through the course of our work. The simplest way to do this is ‘asbestos awareness training’ which is a half day course face to face.
This type of training will allow you to comply with Regulation 10 of The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012: ‘every employer shall ensure that adequate information, instruction and training is given to those of his employees who are liable to be exposed to asbestos or who supervise such employees’.
Where should you go to get trained? From our point of view we feel that trainers who ‘engage’ delegates the most will have the greatest effect. Therefore you should look for trainers with lots of industry experience and good feedback. Therefore we believe that IATP are a great asbestos awareness training provider.
At RBAC we undertake face to face training in house or on your site.
Important Note: Asbestos awareness training does not allow you to work on or with asbestos containing materials. If you need to work with asbestos you must undertake a separate course
Secure your spot on the asbestos awareness training course.
